Bridy's Butter Tarts from Night Owl Quilting

This pretty quilt is Bridy's take on the Highway 10 Designs Butter Tarts pattern. Bridy made it her own by making all of the centre star portions of the block out of the same fabric. It is always fun to see how someone uses their own creativity with your pattern to make something unique.

The fabrics Bridy selected are from the Camellia line by Melody Miller for Ruby Star Society. Bridy asked for a fun thread choice and we opted for my favorite gold Magnifico Thread 2063 Clover Honey and the Curly Q pantograph.

Butter Tarts in Olive You from Night Owl Quilting

This wonderful quilt was made as a store sample by Megan for Keystone Modern Creative. The pattern is the last release from Highway 10 Designs and is called Butter Tarts. This is a great Fat Quarter friendly pattern that goes together with no HSTs!

The fabric collection used in this quilt is called Olive You by Zen Chic for Moda. Kits are still available from Keystone Modern Creative.

I am so happy that I was able to to finish this Halloween quilt before the big day! I had a Fat Quarter bundle of the Spooky n Sweeter Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics waiting for the right project for a couple of years. Ice Cream Sandwich Quilt COMPLETE (And Mini Tutorial) from Wedding Dress Blue

This quilt started as an experiment with fat quarters. I had seen a few similar quilts and wanted to give it a try.

This version uses 9 fat quarters. Three prints and 6 solids. The quilt finishes at 40″ x 48″. Each block has a center cut at 4-1/2″ x 4-1/2″, some plain squares, and some created as hourglass blocks made of two squares starting at 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. The outside of the blocks is two rectangles 2-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ and two rectangles 2-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.

Woodland Baby Quarter Sections from Night Owl Quilting

This is the 2nd baby quilt that I made for my first grandchild. I asked my daughter if she had any requests for a quilt. My Canada Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Caron made this fantastic quilt using the My Canada collection from Northcott. The pattern is Home Quarter from Highway 10 Designs and is a relaxing make using Fat Quarters.

Caron selected the Maple Syrup pantograph to continue the theme. You can't see much of it on the front with the wide variety of prints, but it sure looks great on the grey Fireside backing.

Petal Junction in From Far and Wide from Night Owl Quilting

This pretty version of our Highway 10 Designs Petal Junction quilt was made by Leslie at Keystone Modern Creative as a store sample. Leslie chose to feature the "From Far and Wide " fabric collection by Kate and Birdie for Moda Fabrics.

The large blocks of the Petal Junction pattern allow you to see so much of the detail of the prints. It works with Half Yard or Fat Quarter cuts

Leslie chose the Lithe pantograph for the quilting and it shows up beautifully on the green Fireside backing.

Petal Junction in Lilliput from Night Owl Quilting

I made this version of our Highway 10 Designs "Petal Junction" pattern for a special couple that got married during the height of Covid restrictions but just had their "Happily Ever After" party. The fabrics are from the Lilliput collection from Sharon Holland for Art Gallery Fabrics. I loved the strawberries, frogs and other animals in the prints and hoped the bride would too.

I had the pleasure of quilting this pretty quilt for Shalane. The pattern is Home Quarter by Highway 10 Designs. It is a low stress pattern that uses fat quarter cuts of fabric.

Shalane used the Open Road collection from Bonnie Christine for Art Gallery Fabrics.

Shalane selected the pretty "Knit 1 Purl 2" pantograph and looks pretty with a sage green thread and Quilter's Dream Blend batting.

Shylyte's Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Shylyte has been collecting bright polka dot fabrics for a little white now. When she learned the first of her friends was going to be a grandma she knew it was the perfect chance to use them in a project. Shylyte used 12 Fat Quarters to make the version of the Highway 10 Designs Home Quarter pattern.

Shylyte selected a new pantograph in my collection called Cool Beans. I love how it looks against all of the polka dots. And who doesn't love a Fireside backing to show off the quilting and cuddle with?

Smoke and Rust Home Quarter from Night Owl Quilting

Phyl made the beautiful verstion of the Home Quarter pattern by Highway 10 Designs. The fabric collection she used is from Lella Boutique for Moda called Smoke and Rust.

Phyl selected the Arrowful pantograph and a lovely shiny copper colored thread for the quilting. I love the movement that the pantograph has.

Home Quarter - City Lights from Night Owl Quilting

Loraine made this King Size version of the Home Quarter pattern from Highway 10 Designs. The fabric collection that she used is call City Lights from Northcott. The colour palette is just so pleasing.

Loraine selected a pantograph that I just added to my collection called Cool Beans.

With Fireside backing fabric this quilt is extra cozy and quite heavy because of its size!

Petal Junction - Little Forester Fusion from Night Owl Quilting

This is the second sample that I made of the new Highway 10 Designs pattern called Petal Junction. I used a mix of solids and blenders from a variety of designers and prints from the Little Forester Fusion collection from Art Gallery fabrics. The background is an Art Gallery solid in a color called Crystalline.

Petal Junction works with either FQs or Half Yard cuts and I decided to use 16 Half Yards to make this generous double quilt (seen below on my queen sized bed).
